Transportation and Roads

The province has excellent roads. Public transport is restricted and not safe in the evenings. However, the My Citi Bus Rapid Transport is an easy and affordable way to travel within the Cape Town metropolitan area. Note that cars drive on the left side of the road. An international driver's licence is a must if you want to drive on your own. Car rental facilities are available at the airport or in the city center. Rental cars can be dropped off at the hotel at an additional fee.
